OVO Chair Collection

Designed by Foster + Partners

Our new OVO Chair collection includes an armchair, a stackable side chair, and a lounge chair, each crafted in solid European oak or American Walnut.

OVO Lounge Chair

Designed and made with a focus on sustainability and wellbeing, the OVO chairs marry ergonomics with a clarity of form, warmth and tactility.

With a refined and pared back aesthetic, the armchair has a soft, pillowed finish to the tops of the armrests and softened edges that widen to form the backrest.

The lounge chair has a deeper, more spacious seat with armrests that have been widened to form a support for a cup or a laptop.

The design of the stackable side chair responds to a demand for flexible furniture that can be easily stored away after use.

As with all three designs, it is offered with a timber or upholstered seat in a choice of soft aniline leather that has received Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification.  Rather than plastic foam, the fillings of the upholstered seat use organic sheep’s wool; which is naturally breathable, has anti-microbial properties, and meets British fire standards without the application of toxic fire-retardant chemicals.

“I’m proud that together with Foster + Partners, we’ve developed this range of beautiful chairs that feel great to sit in, are made to last a lifetime, and most importantly, are demonstrably sustainable.”  Sean Sutcliffe, MD & Founder, Benchmark

Independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) have been published for each chair, which
demonstrate the cradle to grave environmental performance of the pieces.

The chairs with timber seat have a negative carbon footprint which means that they store more carbon than is emitted during their manufacture, distribution and expected use.

Due to the use of leather, the upholstered versions have a low positive carbon footprint.

The OVO Collection has Red List Free Declare Labelling. Showing complete transparency, Declare is an internationally recognised ingredients list for products that shows where it comes from, what it is made of and where it goes at the end of its life.  Red List Free means that our furniture is free of harmful chemicals and meets the standards for WELL certified buildings.
